Job Summary
The Parking Service at Warwick District Council is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and committed team player to join the Parking Support team. The post primarily works from home with occasional attendance at offices or sites within Warwick District.
Responsibilities
* Work predominately from home while meeting occasional office or site attendance requirements.
* Proactively monitor the daily workload within the Parking Support team.
* Respond to parking‑related enquiries by telephone, in person, by letter and electronic communication, providing excellent customer service.
* Process parking permits and maintain a comprehensive, quality Notice Processing service within legislatively defined timeframes.
* Make decisions on Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) challenges, considering circumstantial and mitigating evidence from the appellant.
* Produce detailed case files for submission to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.
* Assist in monitoring debt recovery procedures.
* Generate standard computer reports or management information as required.
* Communicate queries within the team and effectively with Senior Parking Support Officer, Parking Services Team Leader and Parking Services Manager.
Qualifications
* Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
* Highly organised and able to work closely with team members.
* Confident to work independently with minimal supervision, capable of making decisions without direction when required, reliable, conscientious, self‑motivated, flexible and trustworthy.
* Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn bespoke parking enforcement software.
