Job Description Due to a recent contract growth an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Officer overseeing our warehouse in Bridgwater, off of J24, TA6 6TS, to support the HPC Nuclear Build Storage Solutions. This role will be key to the successful delivery of this prestigious contract with EDF. This key role supports the customer contract by integrating effectively with the onsite team to ensure H&S standards & compliance is achieved and maintained through high levels of employee engagement and a strong health and safety behaviour culture. Successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance prior to commencing employment, this includes being able to provide a minimum of 3 years consecutive UK employment/education & residential history. Input, analyse and report all Health, Safety and Environment information to Wincanton and Client systems. Chair, present and update minutes from HSE meetings pursuing closure on actions and escalating where necessary. Manage contractors prior to accessing site, during and on exiting the premises – this would include paperwork, Permit to Works, Defects, equipment suitability and conformity, follow up requirements, inductions, pass control. Be point of contact for all HSE escalations across eDF/Wincanton sites. Liaise and downline HSE business critical updates to all colleagues. What will you bring?
