This is a fixed-term, part time post of 12 months.
The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (pro-rata) and the location is negotiable.

This is an exciting, leading the way opportunity for an autonomous nurse leading and delivering the cervical screening service for people within mental health inpatient services across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated nurse to drive the strategic and operational leadership of this health equalities project specifically establishing and delivering cervical screening service within mental health inpatient services. This is a new project addressing health inequalities of a vulnerable population in this public health screening programme.
The post holder will be based within Glasgow City HSCP Mental Health Inpatient Service. With a focus on cervical screening, the post holder will work with a range of staff groups within Mental Health, Public Health, Primary and Secondary Care. The post holder will work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence based standards, guidelines and policies.
The post holder will independently lead the development and provision of this new cervical screening service (in-reach) situated in the mental health inpatient service. The post holder requires to utilise high levels of specialist clinical assessment, decision making and clinical judgement to formulate appropriate approaches and discussions with patients and clinicians and their care. The post holder will provide specialist advice and support for patients in this vulnerable group to aid in their decision making with regards to screening.
The post holder will provide specialist education and training for healthcare professionals in relation to cervical screening. The post holder will also implement and undertake audit and/or research activities ensuring evidence-based practice in the specialist area.
The post holder must be educated to post-graduate level in nursing or equivalent professional qualification, with equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience in a relevant role. The post holder must be experienced in delivery of cervical screening in line with National Education for Scotland Standards with evidence of current practice and trauma informed care. A demonstrable record of multi-agency partnership working, and demonstrable knowledge and application of quality improvement and change management skills are essential for this post. Demonstrable excellent applied leadership skills including negotiating and influencing skills are essential for the success of establishing this new in-reach post.
