Deputy Headteacher – Rhydypennau Primary School

The Governing Body of Ysgol Gymunedol Rhydypennau invites applications from experienced senior leaders for the position of Deputy Headteacher. We seek an individual with a proven track record of leading teams or departments effectively, improving pupil standards, and demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous professional development at leadership level.
The successful candidate will join an experienced and dedicated Senior Leadership Team, which includes the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, and Assistant Headteacher. We are looking for someone who can collaborate professionally with all stakeholders and be highly effective and efficient in all aspects of the role and the school’s work.
Additional responsibilities include serving as head of department and as the Additional Learning Needs Coordinator.
The candidate should demonstrate a record of excellent teaching and learning, and ideally, share good practice at school, county, or beyond.
Applicants should be able to communicate through Welsh (equivalent to Level 5 in the ALTE framework in Listening/Speaking, Reading, and Writing). The selection panel will only accept applications in Welsh, and all interviews will be conducted in Welsh.
