Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong focus on process improvement and efficiency. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage a team, optimise warehouse processes, and ensure the smooth operation of shipping and receiving activities.
Duties
* Ensure that all employees are maximising their potential and delivering the required performance levels in line with KPI's
* Ensure that company standards are adhered to all times, such as presentation of staff, environment and goods
* To communicate appropriately across all levels of business. Timely, accurate and professional responses to internal and external customers/partners and proactive outbound communication.
* Problem solving – root cause analysis, continuous review of processes to ensure efficiency
* Take full ownership of Warehouse operations, prioritise, organise and act to deliver required solutions Develop your team, including the identification and delivery of training needs
* Manage resource within your team in terms of annual leave and sickness
* Complete a minimum of 1 performance review per employee per year and to ensure follow up meetings when required such as action plans
* Complete the full probation process in terms of monthly reviews, training, coaching and assessment.
* Ensure employees follow all Company Policies and Procedures in terms of absence reporting/sickness.
* Support HR with payroll by way of keeping accurate records within Evalu8 and payroll sheet.
* Support the disciplinary process if required.
* Manage recruitment within your department
* Ensure compliance of all Company policies and procedures, particularly around health and safety. Present figures to management team on a weekly basis (Profit Erosion Meeting & Productivity)
* Organise 2 x annual stock checks (as a minimum)

Qualifications
* Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
* Supervising experience is essential, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and tools is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving processes, along with hands-on warehouse experience.
* Proficient in operating MHE safely.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong analytical skills to assess performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
