We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator to join our team who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. With this role you’ll be working as part of Birmingham Womens and Familes Team, working to support individuals across Birmingham. There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 for the successful applicant to be female. Location: Base in Ladywood but role is City Wide Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. Salary is subject to review in line with the 2025/26 pay award. About the Role: Work with partnership agencies to safeguard people that use the service and or their families to attend meetings and present reports. To produce comprehensive reports for Court and Birmingham Children’s Trust where required. To participate in assertive outreach to encourage the engagement of women in their recovery. Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community Promoting carer, service user and community involvement Providing advocacy for access to partnership services Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination Successful candidates have previously worked in the following areas: Substance misuse services Rehabilitation services Support worker within elderly care or with adults with a learning disability Prison service Children’s services, supporting young people Hospitals and other medical practices Safeguarding About You: An understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field. Gender specific working and associated risks and challenges People experiencing multiple disadvantages ie: Homelessness, Mental health, Domestic Abuse. Experience in managing caseloads of people within a CQC registered service A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions The ability to write comprehensive factual reports. The ability to be independently mobile across the City in order to engage Women in their recovery The ability to participate in safeguarding meetings and conferences and present findings. The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information, e.g. reports. Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives. Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice. What We Offer: 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
