A premium fashion brand is opening a brand-new store in Bath and is looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations and drive a best-in-class in-store experience.
As the Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the store team, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining high operational standards. You will be the go-to person in the absence of the Store Manager and will champion the brand’s values on sustainability, style, simplicity, and community.
The Role
1. Deliver outstanding customer service across all touchpoints – in-store, by phone, and online.
2. Support and deputise for the Store Manager in all areas of store operations.
3. Provide expert product knowledge and confident, personalised styling advice.
4. Motivate and mentor junior team members, supporting onboarding and ongoing training.
5. Maintain impeccable visual merchandising and store presentation.
6. Manage daily administrative and operational tasks including till use, deliveries, and returns.
7. Assist with opening/closing duties and ensure general store security.
8. Monitor stock levels, assist with replenishment, and handle stock recalls.
9. Gather and communicate customer feedback to relevant departments (. buying/merchandising).
10. Ensure all health & safety and store procedures are followed.
The Person
11. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a premium retail environment, ideally in a supervisory or senior sales advisor role.
12. A warm and approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
13. A genuine love for sustainable, stylish fashion and engaging with customers.
14. High attention to detail, well-organised, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
15. A calm, empathetic, and confident presence – especially under pressure.
16. Proficient in IT systems, including tills and logistics software.
