Our client is a very successful, well-established chartered accountancy practice based in Orpington, Kent. They are seeking an all-round experienced audit and accounts manager / senior manager to join their team on a full-time or part-time, permanent basis, with partnership prospects on offer. This position will primarily focus on accounts and audit work, with levels adjustable based on experience and aspirations. Excellent progression prospects, work-life balance through flexibility and hybrid working are offered. The client base includes a significant proportion of NFP clients within the education, charity, and academy sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Delivering accountancy, tax, and audit services.
* Supporting a varied client portfolio.
* Leading audits from planning to completion, liaising with team and clients.
* Hosting and conducting pre- and post-audit meetings.
* Providing accountancy and taxation advice to clients.
* Conducting client meetings to present final draft accounts.
* Leading and managing a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
* Mentoring the team, reviewing work, and ensuring high-quality service.
* Developing the team’s skills through training and development plans.
* Contributing to firm growth by maintaining existing clients and attracting new ones.
Requirements
* Qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent.
* Minimum 5+ years post-qualification experience in practice.
* Experience in accounts preparation, SME audit, and taxation (corporate, business, & personal).
* Experience supervising staff.
* Effective communication skills.
* Proactive, able to work independently.
* Excellent planning, organization, and deadline management skills.
* Good computer skills.

Additional Requirements
ACA/ACCA studying or qualified by experience. Experience in audit fieldwork or audit planning. Client-facing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
