We are looking for a Document Controller to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor!
The company you will be working for is widely recognised, working on building projects anywhere up to £50m in value, the variety of work here is something to keep you excited. Covering sectors not limited to; new build, refurbishment and associated fit-out works, with particular expertise in MoJ, education, healthcare, commercial and mixed-use sectors.
As Document Controller you will:
1. Manage and maintain all published design documentation in line with VCUK processes and procedures
2. Implement the project CDE, the project file structure, virtual file links, email file links, security rights, work flows and voting rights
3. Undertake regular checks of assigned security rights
4. Manage and approve user permissions
5. Validate metadata assigned to design documentation
6. Input Asset Data
7. Verify that all published design documentation meets the current approved status
8. Monitor the flow of design documentation and advise on any non-compliance
9. Manage the printing of project design documentation
10. Maintain and control the hard copy record of all project design documentation on site
11. Ensure that all As-Built Drawings, O&M Manuals, Health and Safety File and Post Construction Stage BREEAM
12. documentation is uploaded to the project CDE
13. Monitor to ensure that site team are working to the latest issue of design documentation
14. Capture 'Best Practice' and share with CDE user group
15. Support all users of the project CDE in its application and use, providing guidance and training as appropriate
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working as a Document Controller and have worked in a similar role in the construction industry.
