The Opportunity
A well-resourced and inclusive primary school in Barnet is recruiting a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within both mainstream classrooms and a dedicated resource provision. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about working with children with additional needs in a structured and supportive environment.
You will support pupils with Autism, communication and interaction needs, sensory processing difficulties, and SEMH needs, working closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions and consistent support throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with SEN within the classroom and resource provision
* Deliver structured interventions and sensory activities

* Support pupils with transitions between learning environments
* Implement EHCP targets and individual support plans
* Observe, record, and report pupil progress
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
Person Specification
* Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable
* Confident supporting pupils with Autism and sensory needs
* Calm, nurturing, and consistent approach
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Willingness to learn and adapt to pupil needs
* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
This role is suitable for experienced SEN TAs as well as candidates looking to develop specialist SEN skills.
