Post Title: Community & Wellbeing Services Coordinator ​ Department: Community & Wellbeing Services ​ Reporting Line: Head of Community & Wellbeing Services ​ Other key relationships: Assistant Manager / s in the Community & Wellbeing Services team ​ Pay: £14.07 per hour ​ Hours: 15 core hours per week negotiable up to 22.5 ​ Location: ​ Hybrid contract – Home / North Norfolk and surrounding areas ​ Closing Date: 26th May 2026 ​ Proposed Interview Dates : 4th &5th June 2026 ​ ​ Please complete an application form to apply for this role, we do not accept C.V's ​ An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role along with a current drivers licence and access to a car. Job Purpose ​ This role provides coordination for Community & Wellbeing services across North Norfolk and the surrounding areas. The postholder will support the recruitment and management of volunteers while also holding their own caseload, working directly with individuals aged 50 to help them independently manage their finances and to deliver a range of companionship services within clients’ homes, ensuring consistently high‑quality, person‑centred support. ​ ​ Duties and responsibilities ​ Act as the coordinator for the relevant volunteers in North Norfolk including case allocation and performance oversight. ​ Assist in recruiting, vetting, and appointing volunteers. ​ Provide ongoing support and training to volunteers to ensure high-quality service delivery. ​ Visit service users in their homes, care settings, or community, providing companionship and support to reduce loneliness and isolation, and actively helping them reconnect with their local communities by accompanying them outside their homes as part of a goal‑driven process. ​ Provide telephone befriending calls to provide companionship and reduce loneliness and isolation. ​ Coach service users towards financial independence by helping them manage their money confidently. ​ Deliver light touch digital inclusion support to service users helping them engage with the digital world. ​ Comply with all monitoring and evaluation requirements of the services. ​ Maintain accurate case files and records. ​ Assist with any funding opportunities as required. ​ Collaborate with the wider organisation to share best practice and signpost service users to other services. ​ Promote the service by ways of talks, presentations, articles and interviews. ​ ​ General ​ To act as an ambassador for Age UK Norfolk. Work according to the ethos, values, and behaviours of Age UK Norfolk. To participate in the appraisal scheme and undertake training appropriate to the development of your job role and in line the organisations' statutory obligations. To work to the agreed standards and policies of the organisation including public relations; equal opportunities; confidentiality; complaints procedure; personnel and financial procedures. To carry out other duties that are consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the post. ​ ​ Essential Desirable Qualifications A high level of written and verbal English and Maths √ ​ Knowledge and Experience Experience of working with people (in a professional or personal context) to advocate for their views and wishes and have their voice heard √ ​ Experience of working with older people ​ √ Experience of working with vulnerable people of any age ​ √ Managed or supported volunteers to use Microsoft applications ​ √ Skills and Abilities Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with older people who have communication barrier √ ​ Ability to prioritise and plan work, be very well organised and work independently to meet deadlines, make decisions appropriate to the level of role √ ​ Ability to be solution focussed when encountering obstacles as part of day-to-day work √ ​ Ability to work under pressure √ ​ Competent in using Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Outlook, and basic database systems √ ​ Personal Qualities Good listening skills and empathetic to people’s needs √ ​ Flexible approach √ ​ Committed to working with and a passion to support older vulnerable people √ ​ Self-motivated √ ​
