About Us:
A Pupil Referral Unit located in Yeovil, supporting a diverse range of learners who have experienced barriers to education in mainstream settings, and we are committed to delivering high-quality, personalised education that enables every young person to thrive.
The Role:
We are looking for a confident and compassionate leader with a strong track record in school leadership—particularly within specialist, alternative provision, or inclusive educational settings. You will:
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across the school
* Support staff wellbeing and development
* Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and safeguarding
* Work closely with the local authority and governing board during the transition period
* Maintain stability and drive continued improvement
The Person:
You will be an experienced headteacher or senior leader who is:
* Skilled in leading inclusive education and behaviour support
* Confident to support the school through a difficult period
* Passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
* Resilient, reflective, and emotionally intelligent
* Able to quickly establish trust with staff, students, and stakeholders

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
