You will need to be skilled at creating effective content, using original ideas to engage with our audience, be organised and have excellent attention to detail.
We’re looking for someone with a can-do attitude, evidenced digital marketing success, excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to make an impact on the lives of animals and people.
What you’ll be doing…
Working closely with the sanctuary’s Head of Marketing you’ll be bringing campaigns and digital projects to life, supporting the important work of the sanctuary, increasing revenue and engaging our different audiences.
You’ll be asked to:
* Take responsibility for social media platforms including planning, content creation, engagement and reporting.
* Make our social media platforms work hard to deliver our goals, driving user engagement and building our Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary community and brand awareness.
* Develop and create high-quality content (videos, graphics, photos) for social media platforms, websites, and blogs. Share, inform and delight our audience who love to keep up to date with the sanctuary, as well as attracting new audience members.
* Use your SEO skills across all our digital content.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest digital trends, tools, and best practices – and implement them where appropriate.
* Create, manage and help develop our e-newsletter campaigns, building segmented and targeted flows. Working across our marketing, fundraising and adoption teams to support our great work.
* Merchandise and manage our e-commerce platform, excite and engage our supporters who love being part of the full Donkey Sanctuary experience.
* Ensure that all content aligns with our vision, brand identity and that it effectively communicates our message.
About you….
* Proven experience in digital content creation (video editing, photography, graphic design, etc.).
* Excellent written communication skills with a strong command of grammar.
* Strong knowledge of social media platforms particularly Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Linkedin.
* Experiencedwith planning, implementation, execution and reporting on campaigns – both organic andpaid for social media and Google Ad campaigns.
* Methodical and thorough approach to work with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and quality.
* Be happy in front of the camera for POV content, as well as behind it. Have a passion for storytelling.
* Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Canva) or equivalent.
* A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
