Residential Maintenance Engineer UHNW Private Residences London Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Maintenance Engineer to provide exceptional technical support across multiple ultra-high-net-worth private residences and a family office in London. This hands-on role is responsible for the maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, and seamless operation of all mechanical, electrical, and domestic systems within impeccably presented, fully occupied homes. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience from luxury residential, private estates, or super-prime properties, with the technical confidence to resolve a wide range of household engineering issues. A discreet, service-focused, and polished approach is essential, with the ability to work efficiently and unobtrusively around principals, guests, and household staff. Key Responsibilities Deliver planned preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple high-end residences. Diagnose and repair faults across: Domestic boilers and heating systems Hot and cold water services, cylinders, booster and circulation pumps AC, split systems, and comfort cooling Security systems (alarms, CCTV, access control, intercoms) Specialist kitchen appliances and integrated domestic equipment Lighting, power, and minor electrical issues General residential mechanical and building systems Monitor and maintain plant rooms, utility spaces, and back-of-house infrastructure. Ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to household activities. Respond to urgent faults and emergency call-outs calmly and professionally. Conduct routine inspections to identify early-stage issues, risks, and wear. Liaise with specialist contractors, managing servicing, repairs, installation works, and ensuring high standards of delivery. Supervise contractors onsite to ensure safety, quality, and discretion. Maintain accurate records, logs, and compliance documentation. Support upgrades, refurbishments, and replacement works for domestic plant/equipment. Assist with seasonal system checks and operation of occasionally used systems. Ensure all work meets UHNW household standards, statutory compliance, and best practice. Deliver a consistently high standard of service to principals and family office representatives.
