Location: Barcombe, East Sussex Duration: 2 days We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to provide on-site supervision of vegetation clearance and undertake destructive searches for protected species at a site in Barcombe, East Sussex. Key responsibilities: * Supervise site clearance activities to ensure compliance with ecological method statements and wildlife legislation. * Conduct destructive searches for protected species (e.g., reptiles, amphibians, nesting birds). * Liaise with contractors to ensure best ecological practice during works. * Record, report, and communicate findings in a clear and professional manner. Essential requirements: * A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline (or equivalent qualification). * Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in ecological fieldwork and supervision. * Professional membership of CIEEM (ACIEEM or MCIEEM). * Demonstrable experience supervising clearance works and conducting destructive searches. * Full UK driving licence and own transport. * CSCS card and valid PPE preferred.
