Summary of Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic graduate engineers to join our Energy team to perform software design, development, and implementation for PLC/IED control and/or SCADA Operational Technology Systems. The successful candidates will work on all aspects of project lifecycle for PLC/IED and SCADA/DCS systems in renewable power generation, storage, transmission, and distribution industries. Projects include system upgrades, modifications, and new builds. Training will be provided as needed. This role is ideal for graduates seeking a career in control system automation software.
* University Degree (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) in Control Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar
* Coding experience through degree in at least one high-level language (e.g., C, VB, C#, Java)
* Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
* Interest or understanding of operating systems, virtualization, and networking
* Willingness to travel and work away when required
* Experience writing PLC software to IEC61131 using ladder, function block, sequential function chart, or structured text
* Experience with SCADA systems
* Experience with communication protocols
* Experience with virtualization tools like VMWare or HyperV
* Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and domain configuration
* Experience configuring network switches and firewalls
* Experience with simulation software such as SIMIT, PICS, or WinMOD
* Full UK driving license
