Purpose of the role
To manage and operate a set of weaving machines, produce woven fabrics to set schedules and to meet customer demands.
The day to day
1. To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
2. To manage and weave up to 12 looms using both natural & synthetic yarns.
3. To understand and operate both dobby and jacquard looms
4. To maintain a high standard of quality when weaving on the looms, repair warp & weft breaks, ensure weft creels are filled and full pieces of fabric are doffed at the correct length.
5. Checking work to ensure fabrics are defect free and ensuring all quality procedures are followed and documented.
