This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and ambitious educator to support the strategic leadership and development of a high-performing Science department. As Deputy Head of Science, you will work closely with the Head of Science to raise attainment, support curriculum development, and lead on teaching and learning initiatives within the department. You will also mentor and support teaching staff, contribute to departmental planning, and play a key role in driving forward standards in Science education. Key Responsibilities: Support the Head of Science in the day-to-day running and long-term planning of the department Lead on curriculum innovation, assessment strategies, and intervention planning Monitor and track student progress and outcomes across Key Stages Promote high standards of teaching and learning, including modelling best practice Contribute to whole-school initiatives as a middle leader Candidate Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Proven track record of excellent Science teaching across key stages Experience in a leadership or management role within a Science department is desirable Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks Ability to inspire, motivate and support both staff and students Please note: Our client does not offer sponsorship.
