As a Receptionist at our hospital, you'll have excellent communication, IT, and keyboard skills. You should be able to explain sensitive or complicated information clearly, sympathetically, and understandably. Ideally, you will have experience in healthcare administration or reception. You will be the face of Nuffield Health and attentive to our customers' needs. As a Receptionist, your responsibilities will include:
1. Using empathy and customer service skills to build positive relationships.
2. Putting visitors at ease when they arrive at your department.
3. Answering phone inquiries and booking appointments.
4. Welcoming patients in person and directing them to the appropriate changing or waiting areas.
5. Supporting the department's smooth operation by preparing clinical paperwork, referral forms, charge sheets, and terms and conditions.
This role is on a bank basis, meaning you work on an ad-hoc schedule to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
Key requirements include:
* Great communication skills.
* The ability to explain sensitive or complicated information clearly and sympathetically.
* Experience within healthcare administration or a relevant reception environment is preferred.
* Good IT and keyboard skills.
* Availability to work shifts of up to 6 or 8 hours between 6:30 am and 8:00 pm.
* Willingness to work during school holidays and weekends.
