Sous Chef – Corporate Staff Dining
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Location: 5 minutes from Moorgate Station
We’re looking for a confident and experienced Sous Chef to join a busy corporate staff dining kitchen, just a short walk from Moorgate Station. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, fresh food for daily staff dining, including hot meals, grab-and-go options, and live action cooking stations.
The Role:
As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen and ensuring the smooth delivery of a high-volume staff dining operation. You’ll play a key role in maintaining food quality, consistency, and efficiency across all service periods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations
* Oversee the preparation of fresh, high-quality staff meals and retail offerings
* Ensure consistency and efficiency during busy service periods
* Supervise and support junior chefs, maintaining a positive team environment
* Assist with menu planning, stock control, and ordering
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up
* Background in contract catering, staff dining, or high-volume kitchens
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Passion for fresh food and delivering consistent quality
