Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various tasks on-site, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Duties
* Carry out general labouring tasks as directed by supervisors or site managers
* Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by clearing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly
* Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
* Support skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
* Operate basic machinery or tools when required, following proper training protocols
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning discussions
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a labouring or construction role is advantageous but not essential
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently when required
* Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads safely
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
* A valid health and safety certification is preferred but can be obtained post-hire
