Support Workers – Secondary Schools in Newcastle
£89.39–£100 per day | ASAP start
We are recruiting support workers to work within secondary school settings across Newcastle, supporting students with a range of additional needs, including SEN, SEMH and behavioural challenges.
These roles are based in mainstream secondary schools with strong SEND and pastoral support structures in place.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing 1:1 support to students with additional needs
* Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour in lessons
* Helping students access learning and follow routines
* Working collaboratively with SENCOs and pastoral teams
This role is ideal for support workers from:
* Residential or community care
* Mental health or wellbeing services
* Youth or family support roles
Schools are looking for calm, patient and consistent adults who understand behaviour as communication.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
