Technical Sales Manager, Industrial Automation Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 plus bonus and company car

Alignment Search & Selection is working with a leading provider of automation and robotics solutions that is supporting manufacturers across the UK as they increase productivity and reduce operational costs. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to develop new business within key industrial sectors.
The Role You will be responsible for identifying and securing new customers across industries including automotive, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals and general manufacturing. This is a consultative sales role focused on helping clients automate production lines, improve efficiency and solve engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities
Engage with engineering, operations and procurement stakeholders
Conduct site visits and understand customer requirements
Work with technical teams to produce solutions and quotations
Present proposals and negotiate commercial terms
Provide accurate forecasting and market insight
About You Proven track record in technical or capital equipment sales
Experience in automation, robotics, controls, machinery or engineering solutions
Ability to understand production processes and recommend improvements
Strong relationship builder with a consultative approach
Self motivated, resilient and able to work independently
