Job Title: Assistant Director of Major Programmes
Location: London ~ 2 days weekly.
Salary: £91,766 - £101,962
Overview:
We are delighted to announce we are working on an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director of Major Programme Delivery to join a large regulatory organisation on a permanent basis. Over the coming years the organisation is looking to improve the performance of some of their frontline services, as well as their core operating technology. As the Assistant Director of Major Programmes, you would be responsible for the successful delivery of two large, complex, enterprise-level programmes. These programmes will be delivering large-scale technology & organisational change, streamlining processes, strategy, and change and engagement.
This role comes with line management and in-direct management, with 13 reports and a small PMO team dotted in. You will be reporting and engaging with C-level executives across the organisation, this level of experience is essential for this opportunity. You will be a part of the Change Division’s leadership team.
Responsibilities:
* You will act as the liaison between the C-suite and senior stakeholders across the organisation and the major programme delivery teams, ensuring programmes are aligned with organisational strategic goals
* Lead and inspire a team of 13 individuals to ensure successful delivery of major programmes. You will enable your team to create a business partnering approach, delivering change and improvement.
* Refine strategic direction and oversee successful execution of initiatives. You will ensure the programme teams track progress against plans, ensuring timely, budget-compliant delivery of milestones/outcomes, and provide leadership support to senior sponsors.
* You will oversee the demand process for prioritising investments and manage associated risks.
* With your team of Change Managers, you’ll design and embed a benefits realisation framework to support corporate priorities.
* You will ensure inclusivity and diversity in change management plans.
* You will be dealing with or managing high profile contracts, suppliers and contractors.
Qualifications and Experience:
* We are looking for someone who has a mix of experience across project management, programme management and change management. You experience will span the delivery of IT, Digital and Business Change initiatives.
* Extensive experience collaborating and reporting into Executive and Senior Level Stakeholders daily at a senior level, in a high profile and complex environment is essential.
* Experience successfully leading medium to large teams – ideally project, programme & change disciplines is essential.
* Change / Project / Programme Management certifications - Prince 2, Agile Methodologies / PMP, MAPM, MSP, CMP or equivalent (some or all).
* Proven experience in creating and implementing business strategies and strategic technological plans, with the ability to embed these at the enterprise level is essential.
* Change Management expertise and a passion for continuous improvement
* No specific industry experience is required, but candidates from a non-profit organisation/healthcare/regulatory industry is preferred.
* Experience with the Microsoft tech stack would be useful.
