Your new role Quantity Surveyor to support a project on the outskirts of Cambridge, consisting high-quality residential flats and a commercial unit. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of cost control, and can guide a project from early-stage budgeting through to final account.Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cashflow forecasts
* Conduct regular cost reporting and advise on cost-saving opportunities
* Manage procurement, tendering, and contractor negotiations
* Assess valuations, variations, and payment applications
* Provide commercial oversight throughout construction
* Support with contract administration and final accounts
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on residential or mixed‐use schemes
* Strong understanding of UK construction costs, procurement routes, and contracts xxuwjjq
* Able to work independently and communicate clearly with project stakeholders
* Detail‐driven, commercially minded, and proactive in identifying risks
