Role Overview The Head of Event Marketing has the experience and passion to develop, manage and implement successful marketing plans across Agriconnects expanding portfolio of events. Managing and working collaboratively with the wider marketing team to deliver strategic, creative, and operational support. The role plans, oversees delivery, measures, and improves content led multi-channel marketing campaigns that acquire, retain, and engage our visitors and grow our events. Key Responsibilities Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of marketing professionals, setting clear goals and expectations, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment. Exhibition Marketing Strategy: In conjunction with the CMO and Events Director develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for all exhibitions, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. Registration Management: Manage and optimise attendee registration processes and marketing strategies driving registration numbers and ensuring a smooth registration experience. Collaboration: Collaborate with Events Director, ops teams and data teams to align marketing efforts with the overall event strategy and objectives. Connected Channel Campaigns: Work alongside all marketing colleagues to build connected channel campaigns using content that inspires and engages visitors to our events via emails, social media, blogs, and newsletters, paid media, partnerships, and SEO. Enhance the overall effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and ensure they resonate with our target audience. Customer Insight and Research: Collaborate with the CMO, Customer Insight Manager, and Events Director to evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data, and customer feedback. Develop a deep understanding of customers that will drive engaging marketing strategies, grow the event, and improve customer satisfaction. Data Analysis: Monitor, track, and analyse marketing performance metrics and KPIs to measure the success of marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Collaborate with the data team to set up seamless tracking/dashboards of all activity. Budget Management: Effectively co-manage the marketing budget allocating resources to maximise ROI and meet marketing goals. Content Creation: Oversee the creation of compelling marketing collateral, including promotional materials, email campaigns, social media content, and advertisements. Work with the editorial content team to re-purpose additional content that benefits campaigns. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities and threats. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, design, and production, to ensure seamless event execution. Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on marketing performance, including key insights and recommendations for improvement. Vendor Management: Work with external vendors, agencies, and partners to execute marketing initiatives efficiently. PR and Communications: Leading the management of PR for an event ensuring it integrates into the wider marketing campaign plan. Brand Guidelines: Ensure all marketing materials and activities adhere to the company's brand guidelines, maintaining brand consistency and integrity throughout the event marketing campaigns. Event Attendance: Represent the company at our own and other industry events, conferences, and exhibitions. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, exhibitors, and industry influencers. Skills & Experience Experience: Proven track record as a senior marketing manager with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in planning, executing, and managing successful marketing campaigns. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership experience. Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in marketing analytics and data-driven decision-making, including the ability to monitor, track, and analyse marketing performance metrics and KPIs. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Project Management: Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and allocate resources effectively. Creativity and Innovation : A creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for developing unique and engaging marketing strategies and campaigns. Customer Focus : Ability to understand customer behaviour, needs, and preferences through customer research and insights, and use this understanding to drive marketing strategies that enhance customer satisfaction. Budget Management: Experience in effectively managing marketing budgets, optimising resource allocation, and ensuring ROI on marketing initiatives. Event Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with event registration platforms, marketing automation tools, and a solid understanding of the events industry and its trends Adaptability: Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and make data-driven adjustments to marketing strategies as needed. Brand Management: Brand management and development skills.
