Salary: $11.03-18.39 per hour
Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team! This person will be participating in an on-the-job learning environment. This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal.
What will you be doing?
This position will be a key member of the Prototype Manufacturing team. Duties to include On the Job Training for:
* General welding and joining
* Operation of manual machining, milling and turning
* Operation and setup of CNC machinery
* Capable of performing basic shop tasks
* Support engineering activities
* Assists with day to day needs of the shop
What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?
This position will require the following skillsets and experience:
* Pass drug and alcohol testing
* Must have good mechanical skills and experience
* High standard of quality and efficiency
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Solid knowledge of shop mathematics
* Must be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly
* Basic PC knowledge (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Must be able to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy objects
* Must be a US citizen
* Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driver's license
* Working towards a High School diploma
* Currently enrolled in a high school metal working/welding class
* Must have at least 2 years in high school metal working/welding class or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of CAD systems a plus
* Strong hands-on mechanical skills
