Your role: We have an exciting opportunity for a 2 year temporary IDVA contract with a specialism area of honor-based abuse. You will be part of an exciting integrated team delivering quality services to the residents of Wigan. You will manage a caseload and support high risk victims and their families of Domestic Abuse by developing a trusting relationship whilst taking a holistic approach to ensure the family become safe and rebuild their life. You will build and maintain professional relationships from various organisations and actively contribute to Multi-Agency Risk and Co-ordinations process (MARAC), as well as supporting the borough s MATAC operating protocol. You will promote and support the vision of the team and work within the missions of Progress with Unity. Please note secondments can be considered but this must be agreed with current management beforehand. The successful candidate will be subject to full police vetting. About you: You will be enthusiastic and empathetic in nature. You will thrive off working flexibly and will be skilled at effective case management and the management of risk. You will have a good understanding around Domestic Abuse, honour-based abuse, the criminal justice system and wider safeguarding. You will be empathetic in nature and be able to build rapport quickly with others. You will champion the voice of the victim and be able to appropriately advocate and challenge when appropriate. You will be able to communicate and work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve outcomes for service users.
