Description As the Microsoft AD / Entra ID Architect, you will have deep experience in identity architecture and a strong understanding of enterprise IT operations. You will combine technical knowledge with strategic thinking and clear communication skills. Required skills and experience: Proven experience leading Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) transformation projects Strong knowledge of Entra ID features including Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, RBAC, and Governance Solid background in Windows Active Directory and hybrid identity integration Understanding of identity lifecycle management and Zero Trust principles Skilled in automation, documentation, and IT service management (e.g., ServiceNow) Experience collaborating with Cyber Security and vendor partners, especially Microsoft Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Comfortable managing third-party vendors and working across global teams Flexible, proactive, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment Desirable: experience with Microsoft 365 architecture and project delivery ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY You will have a proven track record in depth technical knowledge and be able to create and maintain technical knowledgebase documentation. You will have a have professional accreditation or equivalent practical experience. We are looking for expert business level technical knowledge for windows support. Key activities: Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Engineering, you will lead the design, governance, and delivery of Intertek’s Microsoft Entra ID services. You will act as the product owner, driving roadmap development and ensuring secure and reliable identity operations. Design and manage Microsoft Entra ID architecture and governance Own the product roadmap, capacity planning, and lifecycle management Partner with Cyber Security and Microsoft to assess and optimise service health Provide Level 4 support, documentation, and technical leadership Strengthen identity security through Conditional Access, RBAC, and workload protection Oversee incident, change, and service management processes Maintain up-to-date documentation and technical standards Collaborate with IT and regional teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices Manage vendor relationships to maximise performance and value This is a full-time, on-site role based in Brentwood, working with global teams to enhance our enterprise identity platform.
