By joining Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) as a Community Support Co-ordinator you can be the differencebetween people just surviving and really living.
You will be part of Scotland’s leading charity providing support to people with chest, heart and stroke conditions tolive life to the full again. Our Community Healthcare Support Services form a nationwide network of localsupport groups, nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart orlung condition or after a stroke.
We are looking for a Community Support Coordinator to join our amazing team in the North area. This role is focusedon making sure that people affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions get the help they need and get back todoing the things that matter to them.
Through our Community Support Services, you will support people to have the confidence and tools to self-manage theirhealth condition and live as independently as possible. You’ll also help people get back to doing the thingsthat are important to them – from simple things like walking to their local shop following a stroke, toreturning to a sky-high hobby of gliding!
You’ll be directly involved in supporting people with chest, heart and stroke conditions through both one-to-one andgroup services in both community and hospital settings. You’ll work with the rest of the Community SupportServices team in Grampian, and manage a team of incredible volunteers, to make a real difference to the lives ofpeople with our conditions.
Candidates don’t need to have medical knowledge as training is provided on our health conditions. We are looking forsomeone with a positive attitude towards people with disabilities and long-term conditions; an understanding ofthe challenges faced by people with chest, heart and stroke conditions including Long Covid; an understanding ofcommunity service provision; the ability to recruit, manage and motivate a team of volunteers; and excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills.

About the Supporter Care Executive role and why we need you
We are looking for a Supporter Care Executive to join a team delivering a sector-leading service to our supporters,who are known as Curestarters. The Supporter Care Team builds lasting relationships through honest andrespectful conversation; you will drive supporter loyalty through excellent stewardship and fundraisingassistance, whether by phone, email or mail. You will also carry out administrative tasks to assist in thesmooth running of the Supporter Care Team.
As the first point of contact for all Worldwide Cancer Research Curestarters, you can make an impact every day withour team by maximising fundraising income and supporter engagement. Everyone in the charity plays their part incurestarting and demonstrates our values in their day-to-day work.

You will be an advocate for our vision and act as a role model for the charity when in touch withprospects. We’re looking for a Customer Care Executive to join our team, this role will be known internally as Supporter CareExecutive.
Hours: Full time and permanent. 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday toFriday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requiresall full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

People living with Parkinson's need to have their voice heard in Scotland to ensure their health and care needsare met. Following an investment in our services, support and work with the NHS, we are also expanding ourcampaigning and policy work across Scotland and the rest of the UK.
We’re looking for someone special with experience of campaigning, including an understanding of its basic tools andtechniques, experience of interpreting complex policy issues for a public audience, and knowledge of theScottish political and public policy landscape.
About the role
You’ll support our national and local campaigning work across Scotland to improve the lives of people withParkinson’s and those closest to them. As part of our dynamic and committed Scotland team, you’ll listen to theneeds of our local communities and work with colleagues across the charity to deliver focussed politicalcampaigning work.
You’ll work with our community to raise awareness and increase knowledge about Parkinson’s with decision makers at alocal and national level. You’ll use your knowledge of public policy in Scotland and the UK to make sure thatthe voices of people with Parkinson’s, their partners, family members and friends are heard, and help to drivechanges that improve their lives.
What you’ll do:
* Be a first point of contact for campaigners in Scotland, who want to improve services in their local area, andrecruit and manage a sustainable network of local campaign volunteers specific to Scotland.
* Support thework of the Policy and Campaigns Manager to understand and influence UK wide and Scottish specific legislation,policy and practice relating to our communities and their needs
* Provide expert advice and support tocolleagues and campaigners on how best to influence decision makers in Scotland.
* Use our UK-widecampaign priorities to deliver national and local campaign activity, and coordinate campaigns with othercharities and organisations, where appropriate to further our goals.
What you’ll bring:
* Strong people skills, and a commitment to putting the experiences and needs of people affected by Parkinson’s atthe centre of your work
* Excellent written and oral communication and an ability to produce inspiringcontent to motivate others, and the ability to network and manage supportive relationships with volunteers, MSPsand a range of external organisations
* Experience of managing a varied workload and working to tightdeadlines, with excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise.

Our Activity Centres provide innovative and person-centred services and support to veterans struggling with sightloss. This job exists in order to provide tailored support to veterans carrying out woodworking projects. Youwill work alongside the veterans to identify abilities, share ideas and plan projects within the activityCentre. You will ensure that the support provided is person-centred, tailored to their needs and is the rightsupport for them. You will support the leadership team to coordinate and manage the activities provided withinand from the Activity Centre which will support the overall wellbeing of the veterans and their families. Youwill work closely with colleagues across the organisation and external stakeholders to ensure that veterans canaccess the relevant support.

You will ensure all the children who attend Kidscene feel included and safe by assisting with day to day activities,you will do this by providing quality play and care within the framework of the club’s policies andprocedures.
