Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Staffordshire, UK Company: Tier 1 Main Contractor Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Car Allowance Benefits Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on a major £30 million industrial development located in Staffordshire. This is a key role within our Tier 1 main contracting business, offering the opportunity to manage the commercial and cost control aspects of a high-value, high-impact project from early stages through to final handover. This is an excellent opportunity for a QS looking to take the next step in their career, working on a significant scheme with a contractor renowned for delivering complex projects to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day commercial management of the £30m industrial project Procure and manage subcontractor packages, including valuations and variations Provide detailed cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control Oversee applications for payment and final accounts Work collaboratively with project managers, site teams, and supply chain partners Ensure compliance with NEC or JCT contracts, depending on form of agreement Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities Liaise regularly with the client and stakeholders to maintain transparent communication Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (HNC/HND with strong experience also considered) Minimum 4 years' experience in a QS role, ideally with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor Experience managing industrial or commercial schemes £10m in value Strong working knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts Excellent cost management, negotiation, and reporting skills Proficient in software tools such as Excel, COINS, or similar Full UK driving licence with ability to commute to site in Staffordshire What We Offer: Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience) Car allowance or company car Private healthcare & pension scheme 25 days holiday bank holidays Strong career development support and progression pathways Opportunity to be part of a landmark industrial scheme in the region Apply now or contact me on the below: Katie Luckman - (phone number removed)
