A leading private equity investor has recently partnered with a multi-site business to execute a buy and build strategy. They are looking to take the business from 5 sites and £1 million EBIDTA to 40 + sites and £10 million EBITDA.
They are seeking an experienced Finance Director to spearhead financial operations and drive strategic growth initiatives. As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in executing their expansion plans, managing financial resources effectively, and ensuring sound financial governance across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
* Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to support the buy and build strategy.
* Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Assess and mitigate financial risks, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.
* Collaborate closely with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
* Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and investment strategies to optimize returns.
* Provide strategic financial guidance for acquisitions, integrations, and divestitures.
* Lead M&A activities, including target identification, due diligence, valuation, and negotiation.
* Conduct thorough due diligence assessments to evaluate potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
* Drive post-acquisition integration efforts to maximize synergies and streamline operations.
* Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement,
Key requirements
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven track record as a Finance Director or similar leadership role in a multi-site environment.
* Experience in private equity-backed businesses, executing buy and build strategies preferred.
* Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data and formulate actionable insights.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and ERP systems.
