Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in West Midlands. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, as well as SEMH needs. We support children and young people with MLD and SLD. This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists and our dedicated tutor community.

SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Students are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet needs and progress educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
* Ability to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and follow safeguarding policies
Employment status
* This is engaged as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service and pay via PAYE
* No guaranteed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
