Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Leeds
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term with potential permanent opportunities
Start date: ASAP
The Education Network is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds to recruit an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is ideally suited to a skilled practitioner with a strong background in supporting students with complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
The Role
As an Experienced SEN TA, you will:
* Provide targeted support for students with a range of additional needs, both 1:1 and in small group settings.
* Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals to implement tailored interventions and support plans.
* Contribute to the development of differentiated learning strategies and resources.
* Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social skills.
* Monitor progress, record outcomes, and adapt approaches to ensure positive impact.
The Ideal Candidate
* Have a proven track record of supporting students with SEN in a school or specialist setting.
* Demonstrate excellent knowledge of strategies for supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
* Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
* Be confident in adapting classroom practice to meet the needs of diverse learners.
* Hold an Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to apply).
