Co-ordinator – Mediation Service

to be part of our Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) Mediation and Disagreement Resolution Service (MDRS) based in central Stockport. This position is part time and for a 12-month fixed term. The MDRS are SEND specialists providing a neutral and impartial SEND mediation service. They deliver high-quality, professional, responsive, approachable, and supportive services. The Together Trust is one of the North West’s leading charities, offering care, support, and education to children, young people, and adults. We are a not-for-profit organization, reinvesting all proceeds into supporting our community. Salary:

£16,815.00 per year (pro-rated from £24,700.00), with an hourly rate of £12.67. Hours:

22.5 hours per week, flexible, with the Service Manager, Monday to Friday. Location:

Hybrid working—combination of 1-2 days at the Newbridge Centre, Cromer Street, Stockport SK1, and home working.

Co-ordinator – Mediation Service, you will be the first point of contact for families and young people seeking support. You will provide administrative support, mediation advice, and detailed notes, in line with SEND legislation and guidance. About you: Experience working with families of children with special educational needs, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organized, methodical, and a supportive team player. Proficient in managing databases, spreadsheets, and information for management and contractual reporting. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including colleagues, parents, Local Authorities, and professionals. Good knowledge of Microsoft applications and experience with databases. Capable of prioritizing work, managing deadlines, and handling confidential issues sensitively. Adherence to GDPR and other administrative duties as needed.
