We are recruiting for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Leigh, Wigan (WN7) to support a Year 5 child on a one to one basis who has ASD and ADHD. This is a long-term position starting as soon as possible.

This Behaviour Teaching Assistant job will involve providing 1:1 support to a Year 5 child who requires assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their true potential. This Behaviour Teaching Assistant role will involve keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they are set is being done to a good standard.
You will confidently have excellent behaviour management skills and work successfully with the child to ensure they are fulfilling their learning expectations. As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant you will support them in accessing the curriculum in order to help to reduce incidences of internal and external exclusion.
This Behaviour Teaching Assistant job is full-time and the working hours will be 08:30am- 15:30pm Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute lunch break. This Behaviour Teaching Assistant job is to start Monday 15th April 2024 and will be a long-term role until Friday 19th July 2024.

Non-negotiables:
10. Have either a relevant childcare qualification Level 2 or Level 3 or above
11. Recent experience supporting children in either an education, social care, nursery, community/youth role, college/university placement or any volunteer roles.
12. Be able to display excellent verbal communication as well as the ability to actively listen.
13. Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
