Lower Key Stage 2 Teacher –Full time
Hexham, Northumberland
£600 - £1305 per week
January 2026 – December 2026
The School and Role
We are currently looking to recruit a confident and professional Key Stage 2 Teacher to work in a friendly primary school in the Northumberland, Hexham area. This will be in a large mixed LKS2 class (Years 3 and 4) where there is already an experienced and established Teaching Assistant. Some of the children have SEND and are working at a lower ability and therefore will require some one on one support. This is a large school and offers a lot of support and learning opportunities. The role will be full time, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm. The school has a supportive senior leadership team and offers a lot of additional support to their supply staff. The duration of this position is currently unknown due to its nature. The school will provide PPA time and the supply teacher will be expected to plan, mark and assess.
Requirements
The desired Key Stage 2 (LKS2) Teacher will have;
1. Experience of working with primary school aged children, ideally with experience of teaching in Lower Key Stage 2
2. Experience of working with pupils with SEND
3. A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
4. An ability to work as part of a team
5. QTS within the UK
