Our client, a global software company based in Glasgow, is seeking a Data Protection Lawyer (2–3 PQE) to join its growing SaaS business on a permanent basis.
The role reports directly to the CFO and offers a genuine pathway to a future GC position, with exposure to senior stakeholders and PE investors.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Advising the business on all aspects of data protection and privacy compliance, including GDPR and international data transfer issues
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating SaaS agreements, software licensing arrangements, and wider commercial contracts
* Advising on data storage, security, and risk management practices, ensuring policies and procedures meet regulatory requirements
* Supporting the business on compliance matters, data subject rights requests, and liaising with external advisers where needed
* Working closely with senior stakeholders, with exposure to PE investors, and involvement in strategic growth initiatives
What Are They Looking For?
* E&W qualified lawyer (2–3 PQE) with strong data protection and commercial contracts experience
* Experience working in the technology/SaaS sector is highly desirable, but not essential
* Strong communicator, confident advising senior stakeholders directly
* Able to work independently and balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* Ideally available at short notice
