Job Description
New Directions Education is recruiting a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to work across a secondary school in South Manchester. This role is to start as soon as possible, continuing until the end of the school year.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with pre-prepared lessons across all subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver pre-planned lessons across subjects
2. Maintain a positive and focused learning environment
3. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
4. Support pupils with their learning where possible
5. Provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons
Requirements:
6. Experience working with young people
7. Confident classroom management and communication skills
8. Adaptable and able to cover a variety of subjects
9. A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable
