We have a permanent Fire Safety Advisor opportunity to join our Fire Safety team, supporting a broad regional patch and helping us maintain safe, compliant healthcare environments across our estate.

* Salary starting from £49,000 (prorata)
* £3,000 car allowance + 10% performance-based bonus
* 18.75 hours per week
* Typical pattern: WednesdayFriday (flexibility required)
* Hybrid role with regular travel across the North East, parts of Cumbria, and areas such as York & Sheffield
* DBS check will be conducted

Key Responsibilities

This role provides specialist fire safety support across approximately 90 sites, working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure our buildings meet required fire safety standards. Responsibilities include:

* Conducting fire risk assessments in line with current legislation and standards.
* Providing specialist advice on fire safety compliance, precautions, and best practice.
* Supporting audits and ensuring followup actions are completed effectively.
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
* Working flexibly to support meetings or site requirements across the regional patch.

Where You’ll Be

This is a hybrid role with travel across the North East, parts of Cumbria, and southern NE areas including York and Sheffield, covering around 90 sites shared within the team.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings both expertise and the right attitude to this varied and impactful role.

Essential

* Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (minimum, in line with new British standards).
* Experience in fire safety, such as risk assessments, audits, or related fire compliance work.
* Ability and willingness to travel regularly across a large regional patch.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

* Level 4 qualification or interest in progressing towards it.
* Experience within the Fire Service, particularly fire safety departments.
* Previous experience in a healthcare environment is highly beneficial.

This parttime opportunity may particularly appeal to individuals seeking flexible hours, including those semiretired or transitioning from fulltime roles.
