The Befriender 'Out and About' Volunteer will play an important role in the lives of the people we support at our various SeeAbility services in Leatherhead. They will be a reliable companion to enable people to attend activities they enjoy taking part in. These might include going for a walk, attending a concert, attending a sports fixture, going to the cinema, going out for coffee or a meal, etc.

* To be able to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures
* To be able to assist when necessary with sighted guide/orientation

Registered as The Royal School for the Blind, SeeAbility is one of the oldest disability charities in the UK. Last year we are celebrated our 225th anniversary, having pioneered specialist support across multiple generations since 1799
We specialise in supporting people who have learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, who may also have sight loss.
