The Opportunity
We’re supporting a major UK-based clean energy initiative—one that’s redefining what’s possible in the nuclear sector. As Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering demonstrator projects that validate the design, manufacture, and assembly of modular civil engineering systems and site factory solutions.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of direct and indirect engineering staff to deliver civil kit-of-parts demonstrators and the site factory demonstrator.
* Ensure the design for manufacture and assembly supports technical, cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
* Align the delivery of demonstrators with modular construction strategies, ensuring supplier compliance with defined methodologies.
* Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure robust delivery.
* Oversee project management responsibilities, including resource planning, budgeting, and reporting.
* Manage performance, workloads, and development of your engineering team with support from senior leadership.
* Communicate programme vision and technical requirements effectively to both internal teams and external delivery partners.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Proven experience in civil manufacturing, ideally in modular or offsite construction environments.
* Strong leadership skills with experience leading engineering teams and managing delivery across complex programmes.
* Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across design, supply chain, manufacturing, and delivery.
* Understanding of design-for-manufacture principles and validation/experiment planning.
* Background in regulated industries such as nuclear, infrastructure, energy, or aerospace is desirable.
Salary & Benefits
* Base Salary: £48,000 - £62,500 (Depending on Experience)
* Performance Bonus: Target opportunity of 12.5%
* Benefits Allowance: £2,200 per annum to spend flexibly
* Pension: 12% employer / 6% employee contributions
* Holidays: 28 days + public holidays (option to buy/sell 4 days)
