A BIT ABOUT THE ORGANISATION Since its founding in 1986, the Independent Schools FA have been at the heart of the game within the independent sector, championing football as a force for opportunity, character, and community. Over nearly four decades, ISFA has played a pivotal role in the growth of football across independent schools nationwide. It's programme is wide-ranging and inclusive: Competitions for girls and boys aged 11-18, culminating in prestigious Finals played at professional club grounds and at the home of English Football, St George's Park. Festivals and tournaments that bring schools together in celebration of the game. A National Representative programme, respected across the football community, where players proudly earn the honour of a national cap. Fixtures include matches against Academy teams from Premier League clubs as well as international fixtures against visiting school sides from Australia, Wales, and Scotland. Supports the continued growth of intra-school house football, ensuring the game thrives at its grassroots within school communities. A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE This role sits at the heart of ISFA's ambition to strengthen its commercial foundations and expand the value it delivers to independent schools. The Commercial & Marketing Director provides strategic guidance to the CEO and Board, helping shape a modern, sustainable approach to sponsorship, partnerships and brand development. Working closely with the CEO, the postholder brings insight, ideas and constructive challenge to maximise revenue opportunities and ensure ISFA's commercial activity reflects its values and long-term goals. They help define compelling propositions, support partner stewardship and contribute to the organisation's wider strategic decision-making. The role also plays a key part in enhancing ISFA's visibility and engagement across the sector. By supporting the development of strong marketing, communications and brand activity, the Director helps ensure ISFA remains relevant, trusted and attractive to schools, partners and the wider football community.
