The Ecommerce Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of all e-commerce fulfillment activities within the distribution facility. This role provides direct floor leadership to ensure that order fulfillment activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. The Supervisor is accountable for department labour planning, workflow coordination, productivity, and troubleshooting order exceptions. This role supports consistent operational performance through strong leadership, hands-on involvement, collaboration with warehouse leadership and coordinators, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Requirements E-Commerce Fulfillment Execution Oversee daily e-commerce workflow including picking, packing, staging, shipping preparation, and department organization. Ensure all customer orders are processed according to required service level expectations and shipping deadlines. Maintain department readiness to support fluctuating daily order volumes. Labour Planning & Scheduling Coordinate daily labour requirements for the e-commerce department based on expected order volumes. Assign tasks and responsibilities to warehouse associates and temporary staff. Monitor labour efficiency and adjust resources throughout the day as needed. Inventory Flow & Department Support Ensure proper movement of inventory into and out of the e-commerce fulfillment area. Identify replenishment needs and coordinate inventory availability with warehouse leadership. Ensure required shipping supplies are stocked and available (cartons, labels, printers, packing materials, etc.). Order Troubleshooting & Systems Support Investigate and resolve order exceptions including inventory shortages, missing product, system holds, or shipping discrepancies. Support order execution processes related to EDI workflows and CommerceHub requirements. Escalate recurring system or operational issues to the Warehouse Manager. Leadership & Team Performance Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to the e-commerce team. Support onboarding and training of new associates and temporary workers. Maintain a positive, productive, and accountable team environment. Reinforce safety standards, quality requirements, and standard operating procedures. Operational Standards & Continuous Improvement Ensure department processes are followed consistently to meet quality and productivity expectations. Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements to reduce errors and increase throughput. Support implementation of updated processes, standard work, and department organization improvements. Authority / Decision Making Assign and reassign labour resources within the e-commerce department based on volume and priority. Adjust daily workflow and task prioritization to ensure shipping deadlines are met. Recommend staffing needs, process improvements, and training requirements to Warehouse Manager. Comfortable working with operational metrics and performance tracking. Hands-on approach with willingness to support physical work as required. Education & Experience Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in warehouse operations or e-commerce fulfillment environments. Prior experience in a lead hand or supervisory role is strongly preferred. Experience with high-volume pick/pack operations considered an asset. Familiarity with EDI workflows and CommerceHub is considered a strong asset. POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK Physical / Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand/walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required. Ability to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, skid movement, etc.) Working Conditions Works in a distribution facility environment with varying volume levels. May require flexibility during peak periods or special release events. Works closely with temporary staffing resources depending on business demand. This is a full-time position. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
