Nice Work organises over 150 running events a year across the UK and is home to a busy, friendly team based in Rye, East Sussex. We’re looking for an organised and proactive Office Administrator to support our growing company and sister company, NW Supplies. This is a hands‑on and varied role ideal for someone who thrives on being a hub of activity and enjoys working across a range of projects.


Role Description

We are looking for someone to join the team on a fixed‑term basis to provide maternity cover.

You’ll be a self‑starter who can work independently but enjoys being part of a team. You’ll need to juggle tasks across different departments, stay organised and maintain strong communication. In return, you’ll be supported, trained and made to feel part of a close‑knit group who are passionate about what we do.

A structured handover will be provided with the current postholder.

Works closely with: All office teams including, Directors, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Communications, Fulfilment and NW Supplies.


Key Responsibilities


General Administration

* Act as the first point of contact for the business, ensuring enquiries are managed professionally and followed up promptly.
* Manage incoming communications, including phone calls, emails, post and couriers.
* Maintain office supplies and ensure timely ordering, invoicing and payments.
* Manage the info@ email account and customer enquiries.
* Helping to keep our offices clean and tidy.


Marketing & Communications

* Assist with social media posts for Nice Work and NW Supplies.
* Respond to Racecheck reviews post-event.
* Support the creation and coordination of email communications to runners.
* Create and maintain event webpages using our in‑house CRM.
* Assist with launch marketing for all new events once live.
* Monitor and administer the Nice Work Ambassador programme (keeping track of race participation and social media activity).
* Support our inclusivity initiative to support all athletes taking part in our events (creation and maintenance of an inclusive photo library plus communications support).


Operational Support

* Assist with van maintenance, paperwork and scheduling servicing.
* Help with packing vans, maintaining stock and organising race pack fulfilment.
* Attend races on weekends occasionally to support event delivery.
* Track and report on participation trends and help manage reports for partners.


Nice Work Supplies

* Provide sales, administrative and operational support to NW Supplies, helping to generate new business, manage client enquiries and coordinate day‑to‑day order activity. Key responsibilities include:
* Sourcing new business through calls, emails and social media outreach to potential customers.
* Managing client enquiries, first point of contact, gathering requirements and preparing quotes with accurate supplier costs, mark‑ups and pricing.
* Supporting financial administration, including raising purchase orders, processing bills, paying invoices, updating Xero and maintaining accurate records.
* Providing general operational support, including supplier liaison, product sourcing, fulfilment coordination and ad‑hoc administrative tasks.


Team Engagement

* Organise in‑house staff activities and celebrations.
* Support across departments and assist with ad‑hoc duties as needed.


Who We’re Looking For

* Someone highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Friendly and approachable, with strong interpersonal skills.
* Comfortable working across multiple projects with shifting priorities.
* IT‑literate and comfortable learning new systems (full training will be provided).
* Holds a full UK driving licence.
