Responsible for maximising productivity through proactive maintenance, reducing downtime and improving machine efficiency. Reports into the Engineering Manager. Is a key member of the engineering team carrying out maintenance on the manufacturing sites; ensuring work is carried out safely; keeping machines well maintained in a safe working condition; providing support and training to the engineering apprentices; Carrying out regulatory and statutory inspections; Support in ensuring contractors are correctly managed when on site; update spare part inventory ensuring enough spares are kept in stock; keep accurate records; provide detailed reports (including but not limited to) of any maintenance, breakdowns and incidents; Provide ideas and solutions to improve current machinery and process'; Support in specifying new machinery; Ensuring new machinery is safely brought into operation; Carry out risk assessments and developing SSOWs. Hours are 2 week rota, 11 hour shifts, 6am - 6pm.
