Job Description Mechanical Draftsman/Design Engineer Location: Swindon, Wiltshire Duration : – 5 months. Project – ESF Facility Rate - £35p/hr ltd – Outside IR35 Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible to obtain entry level security checks (BPSS) Responsibilities: · Produce drawings for parts of equipment including generators and distribution equipment · Lead and contribute to the mechanical design of systems and supporting structures · Provide engineering support through prototype build, testing, and qualification phases, resolving design issues and implementing corrective actions. · Conduct design reviews and configuration management activities in collaboration with Maintenance and Mechanical Engineering teams Experience and Qualifications: · Over 5 years’ experience within design engineering, having completed projects of generators and distribution equipment · Proficient in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS · Familiarity with MOD standards and Defence Standards relevant to mechanical and power systems. · Understanding of manufacturing processes for military grade equipment
