Are you ready to take your insurance career to the next level? PoloWorks is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Technician to join our Underwriting Services (UWS) team.

Base pay range
* Department: Underwriting
* Location: Cheltenham
* Compensation: £27,300 - £31,650 / year
Responsibilities
* Process London Market Insurance underwriting data following established procedural guides.
* Analyse technical data and calculate transactions, including limits, premiums, and deductions.
* Manage internal and external queries to ensure accuracy and efficiency in data processing.
* Provide training, support, and guidance to team members.
* Organize documentation to facilitate smooth data processing.
* Contribute to internal and external (client) reporting.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
* Relevant experience within the insurance sector
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on service quality and client satisfaction.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team.
* Capability to provide training, support, and guidance to colleagues.
* Strong planning and organizational skills.
* Strong understanding of the insurance market, structure, practices, and regulations.
* Familiarity with services provided by PCIS and specifically UWIS.
* Experience with direct and reinsurance placements.
* Ability to interpret insurance documentation and data accurately.
* Knowledge of relevant classes of business and the ability to engage in meaningful discussions with client operations and underwriting teams.
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4 or above, including Mathematics and English.
* Willingness To Pursue Relevant CII Qualifications.
