Attendance Officer – Oldham – ASAP
Location: Oldham
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £105-£120/day
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
We’re seeking a proactive Attendance Officer to monitor and improve student attendance and punctuality. You’ll work closely with students, parents, school staff, and external agencies to address attendance issues and promote a positive school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring & Data: Track daily attendance, analyse patterns, and maintain accurate records.
2. Support & Intervention: Communicate with families, arrange support, conduct home visits, and help students reintegrate after absences.
3. Collaboration: Work with social services, health professionals, and other agencies.
4. Safeguarding: Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and address child protection concerns.
Requirements:
5. Degree or equivalent experience
6. Full driving licence (for home visits)
7. Experience working with young people (references required)
8. Recent Safeguarding, Prevent, Behaviour Management & FGM training (can be provided)
9. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
10. Right to Work in the UK and two professional references
