Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. The service delivers acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care to a population of over 1.15 million (2.2 million including regional and national services).
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a Children and Families team within a geographic area, including deployment of team resources.
* Provide line management, professional leadership and supervision of PHN/Child & Family Health staff.
* Support development of leadership skills within Health Visiting teams and ensure delivery of services to the community.
* Participate in NHS GGC induction and Children & Families induction, including training in the National Practice Model and EMIS system.
Qualifications
* Registered nurse with NMC registration.
* Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting or Public Health Nursing (consolidated and supported by CPD).
* Post-Graduate Certificate in Child Protection is desirable but not essential.
Additional Information
* Location: Renfrewshire, with responsibilities across a geographic area of the HSCP.
* Shift pattern: Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30 (37 hours).
* Full driving licence is desirable.
